AI Motion Design
If you’re considering using AI to produce an animation for your business the honestly? I really don’t blame you. But read on to find out why it might not be such a great idea…
AI is everywhere at the moment. More and more companies are exploring how it can be used. Maybe you’ve seen some LinkedIn guru mentioning they produced an animation for their business in half an hour with Claude and you want to do the same.
Here’s the thing though, I bet it looked exactly like the hundred or so other animations that are all over LinkedIn. Swap out the logo and you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. Terrible pacing. Motion that’ll give you a headache. And a closed off file that you can’t edit without spending £££ on tokens.
That’s the problem with AI generated motion design. Claude and ChatGPT may give you what you want but they’re never going to give you what you actually need: a way to stand out among the sameness.
If everyone is using the same AI to create the same output, nobody is going to stand out.
I’ve been a freelance motion designer for over 20 years now and I can see the tools becoming better and better. But you still need a good solid strategy behind it, a script that makes sense, and an end result that will stand out, not blend in.
If you want to create something bold, get in touch. If you want to create more of the same go give AI a shot.
